For a long time now, Kirribilli Runners has enjoyed the support of the Kirribilli Hotel. We are there at least once a week (on Thursday nights), but sometimes we like to go on Mondays too!
Recently, we’ve renewed our sponsorship agreement with the Kirribilli Hotel. In essence, the Kirribilli Hotel uses the Monty’s Rewards program to give us sponsorship funding. For every dollar we spend at the Kirribilli Hotel, the Hotel will give 5 cents back to Kirribilli Runners. Over the course of a year, this could amount to hundreds of dollars for our team!
In addition, Kirribilli Runners who are part of the program will also receive a 5% discount on their purchase when the buy anything at the Hotel!
For a little while, the problem with this program has been making sure that all Kirribilli Runners members bring and use their membership cards. Often, cards have been lost or stolen, not replaced, or left at home, meaning that only very few purchases by Kirribilli Runners have been actually registered.
But now, the Monty’s Rewards program has been introduced as an app, making it easier than ever to give back to Kirribilli Runners, simply by scanning your phone. This way, we hope to collect a lot more money from the sponsorship arrangement, and to pay our costs for the website, photographers, the Christmas party, more merchandise, and so on!
Here’s how to do it in a few easy steps.
1. Download the Monty’s Rewards App
Download the Monty’s Rewards App from the Apple App Store or Google Play — it’s free! 
2. Sign up!
Sign up to the Monty’s Rewards Program by entering your basic details, including an email.
3. Configure the settings to link your Monty’s card to Kirribilli Runners
Once you have signed up, edit the settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right-hand corner. Then, edit the Account Details as follows:
Insert the CLUB CODE: NKIKIRRUNNER
After you have entered this code, KIRRIBILLI RUNNERS CLUB should appear in the field next to CLUB NAME.
4. Use the barcode when you buy!
Now, every time you make a purchase, make sure that you ask the server to scan your barcode. You will then receive a 5% discount on your purchase, and 5% of the purchase price will be given to Kirribilli Runners! It’s a win/win! You can also track your rewards and total points.
